Breaking Out of Our Shell

While some groups were outside with teamwork activities, the rest of us were inside learning about leadership skills. To give everyone a break - and a chance to bond as a class - the staff provided some comic relief after dinner.

The weather in Montgomery, AL - home of Chris' Hot Dogs - was reported to be, surprisingly, hot.

All of the B.B. Tonight antics got us to participate as an entire class.

Today, those that were inside got to do some of the activities Red and Green did as well as some new ones.

While Blue Team cracked down on the Rules of The Game, Purple caught up on Acid River.

Red Team wasn't inside all day, though, and had some De-Briefing of their own to do.

Activities Begin

We're having a blast! Learning, motivating, working together, and overcoming our fears are just a few lessons we have touched on in Bridge Builders so far.

Blue Team is learning to trust...

...while Purple is talking about their activities (otherwise known in Bridge Builder Land as "De-briefing").

Group Pictures (Before)

The beginning of the week is always a little awkward for everyone. Mingling with some familiar faces and a lot of new ones can be intimidating, and we wanted to make sure we captured this unfamiliarity before it passed. Here are our group pictures from Monday.

What a crazy staff! We definitely have the awkwardness down.

The Purple Inspectors

The Blue Contractors

The Green Engineers

The Red Architects

I wonder where we'll go from here...

Registration Begins!

Our staff is so much fun! :)

Unsure what's going on?? Good, we like it that way!

A day of first impressions...

How does it work?

The program is designed to promote communication, understanding and trust among these developing leaders. Community projects, discussions, adventure, education, and first-hand experiences with community leaders are the training tools.

Who and Why?

We will change the face of our city and the future by transforming our youth. Participants are high school students selected during their sophomore year to participate in the program. The students represent a wide variety of cultural, ethnic and social backgrounds.

Get ready to do great things!
